Reuss was born in Austria and came to the UK in 1938, settling in the St. Ives area in the 1940s. He was represented by the O'Hana Gallery [a big international gallery based in London] throughout the 1950s/60s/70s where many one-man exhibitions of his paintings were held.
Museum collections include Newlyn Art Gallery [large collection], V&A, British Museum, Fitzwilliam, Birmingham, etc.
A new book 'Albert Reuss.', by Susan Soyinka was published in 2017 by Sansom - some of the above paintings are illustrated.

Kit Barker was a very successful painter during his lifetime and was sometimes associated with the St Ives School as he lived in Cornwall in the 1940s.
